Pinar and the Rare Sapphire-Blue Beryl
|
| SAPPHIRE-BLUE BERYL, Serra do Pombas near Brumado, Bahia, Brazil. A most unusual beryl and an extremely rare specimen. It is a very large, partly gemmy, mass of beryl that is mostly of the deepest sapphire-blue color known in beryl. One chunk, of which this is the largest part, was discovered in Brazil around 1970. 5x2x2-1/4 inches. |
As many of you know, this is my 52nd year in the full-time business of buying and selling mineral specimens. My favorite method of selling is now through eBay because it is easier for me.
If you follow my weekly offering of 20 new specimens, I am sure you will find something of interest as I am now reducing my inventory. Of course, visitors to my showroom gallery are always welcome.
