CALCITE, Frizington, Cumbria, (Cumberland), England.Two compound groups of doubly-terminated, dog-tooth crystals are intergrown to form one spectacular specimen. The red hematite inclusions add exceptional beauty. It stands on a custom-made base by Alec Madoff, mount maker to the American Museum of Natural History. Measures 5-1/4x4-1/4x2 inches.
